Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus the Christ

This is kind of an epistle of introduction with a peek toward our future.  Let me start with an acknowledgement.  I owe so much to the kind folks of the First Presbyterian Church of Pleasant Valley, New York.  They showed me what it looks like to love God, God’s people, God’s Word, and God’s church.  They gave me my first bible and encouraged me to read it responsibly.  Their faith was tangible, to be among them was to experience it.  I met God through their witness.  My faith journey began among them and I will ever be thankful.

Having labored in traditional Pastoral Ministry, Transitional Ministry, Prison Chaplaincy and Prison Administration has given me a unique perspective on the powerful role that Christians can play today.  My ministerial path has been a unique one to say the least.  But more importantly, as I have grown in my walk with Christ, I have come to discern more clearly how important it is for our local and larger church to be led at every level by people who are committed to Christ and making Christ known.

Throughout my ministry I have had multiple and varied opportunities to serve in different situations.  Through these experiences, I believe God has uniquely prepared me for our work together as we seek to be and extend the church through the proclamation of the Gospel in word, deed and at times even risk.  I’m looking forward to getting to know you as you get to know me and we serve our God and prepare for future chapters in the life of First Presbyterian Church.
